The Imagineer Considers Tomorrow (#45.1)

On election night, I very nearly did the digital equivalent of throwing my manuscript in the fire. My wife, bless her, said to wait a bit, and not too long after, Erin Stalcup, the editor of Waxwing (see earlier post), wrote me to invite me to write something for the upcoming issue, if I had anything. As it turns out, I did. I also got to use all that trivia about Walt Disney World that’s been rattling around in my head for ages.

Erin’s invitation included future thoughts on the current presidency, so I’m pleased and thankful to her for asking me to do this, and to make the first step forward.

PS–if the darker side of Disney is of interest to you (and I mean the man and his world, not the hunter killing Bambi), then “The Perfect American,” Philip Glass’s opera, is up your alley.
